It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=
I'll try to fix up the ugly pictures and maybe add some color when I have time, and reupload another version later :b (don't know when though.) For now feel free to watch this one and laugh at it huhuhu

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Also I got some really good news the other day and found out I can afford to attend my college of choice, so I am super joy atm and probably will be until I start school and find out my roommate is a mass murderer and that all my teachers want me to die. AHAHAHA  (No really, I'm super excited.  I've been out of school for almost 6 months now, it really sucks.)

and ummm that is it!  I'm exhausted, umf.  But it's a beautiful morning today, so I really should try to get out in it.

Your art is too pretty not to watch, thus the add. And I'm a livejournal fiend too... I see all the pretty sketches over there, and I'm torn between friending it with my personal journal (that I use more) or my art only journal, and then I curse my divided personality and end up doing neither.

At least the running mental commentary is never boring.
