School starts up again in about a week.  Am I excited?  Damn straight.  I actually sort of miss the daily grind and being forced into productivity, even if I don't exactly miss the bizarre sleep habits and the total lack of energy.  However, this is my last year, and if all goes well, I will be a graduate and have my Bachelor's degree in May.  And oh my god I miss Detroit.  I really do.

This summer was amazing, though.  I went to Pasadena, California for a week as a student volunteer for the ICON6 illustration conference (and got to see L.A. on my free day with *Rougaroux!), went to Traverse City, MI for a week, did not nearly enough drawing but some very fun projects (storyboarding for a student film, awesome experience!).  I have no complaints.

SO WHO ELSE IS GOING BACK TO SCHOOL any new exciting plans for fall?  TELL ME EXCITING THINGS.

Plug plug plug: CAT ODES

:iconbunkun: linked to this fabulous project she was a part of, Cat Odes, A COMIC ANTHOLOGY ABOUT (you guessed it) CATS.  75% of the net profits go to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (a mouthful, that one), which is awesome.  CHECK IT OUT

Also (this is ending soon!)

*jisuk's Broken Spell charity card deck project is finally up for sale!  Tons of fantastic artists participated in the project, and you can check out the cards out here or at *jisuk's journal here.  Charity profits go to Save the Rhino!

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Due to issues with Paypal, the project has been moved to Kickstarter.  To purchase a deck, visit the Kickstarter page HERE.  The decks are going for $17 within the United States, $20 for international orders, and $35 for a deck signed by select artists.  Check it out!  The artwork created for this project is seriously stunning.

Thanks for reading!

Also, why am I suddenly being given like 8000 llamaa badges?  I MEAN THANKS I'M A SWEET ALBINO LLAMA NOW but is it like LLAMA DAY or something?

Also .2, I still plan to go through and respond to the comments left, but a general thanks so much to all the new watchers/favorites/comments/etc. for the daily deviation I received the other day.  I really appreciate it!    Hopefully I can get myself a little more motivated and post more often, haha.

OH MAAAANNN I've been waiting for school to start again for SO LONG and this week it finally did. I've missed pretty much everything about it, my life is complete again.
Also I don't know if this is very exciting but I'm gonna start taking saxophone lessons next week. 8) Because I.. want to work on some music that has nothing to do with my choice of career haha. Also saxophones are totally hot right.

I creeped on your schedule or the classes you're gonna take and IIRC it all sounded amazing! I'M EXCITED FOR YOU NOW TELL ME EXCITING THINGS.

GUH your summer sounded waaaay more interesting than mine. DX Spent tethered to home. =_=

BUT I am excited for this fall. I'm finishing up my AA before I transfer to get my BFA, and I only have two classes -HUGE sigh of relief-. One of them is a watercolor class that's really small but super relaxed, so I'll finally get the chance to develop an idea for a consistent series in my portfolio for once XD

I think it sounds more interesting than it really was, because I spent way too much time accomplishing nothing. ;n; Oh well.

Oh man, that sounds awesome! I can't wait to see some of your work from your watercolor class! It must be nice having fewer classes so you can really dedicate yourself to your work more. So how many years will you have left once you start your BFA (ie, do any of your courses from your associates transfer)?

Aww. >< Well, as long as you enjoyed yourself.

It's a huge relief to not have as many this semester. I've gotten used to having five-six classes a semester. x_x All my credits transfer, so once I finally do switch over, I should be done in two years. Hopefully. Unless I mess up and end up having to take extra semesters. =A=;;

Oh man, that's awesome! :D I did a similar thing and went to a junior college before I transferred to my current school, and it really does help if the school offering the BA is more expensive! I hope you have a great semester! :D <3
