Ok let's see - we have an image hosted on a profile that is 1 day old and asks you to visit a website with a strange url with a promise of a financial reward on an another website. How do you even imagine that would work? And now, of course, people start crying that their computers got infected with malware. Which is great - every genius who fell for this obvious phishing scam deserved it. I hope your shitty computer burns and you along with it.

Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

What I personally find the hardest to draw is feet and hands. I found that with a lot of practice and a lot of frustrating mistakes my feet and hands actually look at the very least almost the way i want them to be.
Now my favorite Style of drawing is Anime or sometimes semi-realism, and i find that by doing studies of the more traditional style realism actually helps improve my anime pictures greatly. For instance i would practice drawing my hands and feet in different positions holding different things and from different angles. I also find it extremely helpful while i'm drawing and i'm having a particularly hard time drawing a hand or a foot in a certain position i will stop for a

do you take commissions for story books? i have a friend who asked if i was keen to do a few pages for a childrens story book, but i am too busy at the moment.

i don't think they can pay much (isn't it always the way?), he said a hundred or two (but that's NZ dollars, and i'm not sure what the work would be exactly) but basically what i'm trying to say is would you be interested if i just passed your name on? i was going to check your website for your commission rates, but the site doesn't seem to be loading for me at the moment

is it down? or it could just be my server.

you wouldn't have to take the job if they weren't willing to pay your usual rates, and i'm not even sure if they'd want to work with an overseas artist, of if they are looking for traditional or digital artists (basically i don't know squat), BUT your art is so unique and whimisical that i thought it was worth a shot, if you're willing?

No, I totally wouldn't mind. I think I've mentioned it before, but story book art is something I really want to get into, so I would actually appreciate it very much if you did pass my name on to him. At this point, given the vast amount of free time I have and no real NECESSITY for cash, whatever he could afford would be perfectly fine with me; I think the experience alone would be good for me. Of course, whether anything comes of it or not given the whole overseas circumstance and whether or not he actually likes what I do, I still appreciate that you thought to mention this to me, Guava.

i know how you feel when it comes to getting your name out there. it's great that you're open to try it, even though i'm not sure what the cash will be like. i'll be sure to pass your name on, and some pics of yours, when i email my friend back. i'm not sure if they've found someone yet (coz i was invited to do it a week or two back) but hopefully they're still open. i'll keep you posted! i'll email him when i get home tonight, but he then has to contact them, so i'm not sure how long it will be, sorry. i'll try my best, though!
